The CBI Special Court in Nampally on Monday gave its permission for releasing the 2 sureties amount of Rs. 20 lakh each deposited during the time of sanctioning of bail to 6 accused in Satyam accounting fraud case.
The court, disposing off a petition filed by the 6 accused, directed the authorities to return the surety amount.
Earlier, Ramalinga Raju, his brother Rama Raju, Vadlamani Srinivas,Ramakrishna, Venkatapathi Raju and Srisailam had deposited Rs. 20 lakh each as surety for before being granted bail by the High Court.
However, as the Supreme Court cancelled the bail, the 6 filed a petition in the High Court to return the surety amount.
