The Nampally court told cine actor Mahesh Babu's counsel that the actor should attend the court personally in the Srimanthudu film story case.
Writer Sharath Chandra lodged a private complaint with the court against Mahesh Babu alleging that the actor had filmed his "Chachentha Prema" novel as Srimanthudu. Admitting his complaint, the Nampally court issued summons to the film's hero Mahesh Babu, director Koratala Siva and producer Erneni Siva to attend the court proceedings.
However, Mahesh Babu's counsel pleaded before the court to give exemption to Mahesh Babu from attending the court personally. The court rejected the plea, and ruled that the actor needed to attend the court personally.
The court also once again issued summons to producer Erneni Shiva in the case.
