The party sent letters to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and others, alleging that KCR was a liar and looter.
Entering a direct confrontation mode, the Telangana Congress on Friday despatched letters to leaders of various political parties asking them to be cautious of Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao, who was approaching them to form a federal front.
"KCR is indulging in pomposity and attempting to project himself across the country as a messiah of democracy striving to strengthen the federal system in the country. But you must know that in reality he is a dictator who believes in neither democracy nor the Constitution. Having secured illegal wealth via various irrigation projects in the state, he is now dreaming of emerging as a national leader. He is known for cheap political tactics, utter lies and organized loot," said TPCC General Secretary and Chief Spokesperson Sravan Dasoju in his open letter sent to about a dozen political leaders.
Sravan said that the letters were being sent to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and others.
Sravan alleged that KCR had adopted the deceptive rhetoric "need for qualitative change in national politics" to pursue his secret goal of benefiting the BJP.
"KCR may appear to be criticizing the BJP and the Congress, but he is a strong ally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and his rhetoric is being driven by Amit Shah. When TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu departed from the NDA over the issue of Special Status for Andhra Pradesh, the two leaders of the BJP found a new friend in KCR, and through him are polarizing the anti-BJP and secular political parties so that these parties do not ally with the Congress eventually," he said in the letter.
The Congress leader accused KCR of implementing "the most malicious strategy of disintegrating the solidarity of the anti-BJP political parties, especially at a time when the entire nation was looking to the Congress-led UPA to protect democracy in India and seeing Rahul Gandhi as the new hope of the country. KCR is talking of his federal front only with the UPA allies, which shows that this is a clear ploy to benefit the NDA and weaken the UPA," he said.
Sravan alleged that KCR was playing to the tunes of Narendra Modi because of his fear of CBI enquiries against him. "His name is involved in the Provident Fund scam of the Sahara group and the ESI Hospital scam. CBI officials grilled him after he became the Chief Minister. KCR is surrendering himself before Modi and Amit Shah to avoid further enquiries and trouble in the future. The federal front drama is also part of this larger conspiracy to save his own skin and indirectly protect Narendra Modi," he claimed.
The Congress leader also pointed out that KCR was the first CM to support demonetization and GST. The TRS supported BJP candidates in the Presidential and Vice Presidentila elections. "The TRS MPs also sabotaged the attempts to introduce a No-Confidence Motion in Parliament. KCR proved his loyalty to PM Narendra Modi by not sending anyone to the southern state finance ministers' meet held in Kerala against the injustice being done to the southern states in the allocation of funds. All of these show whose side he is on," he added.
"KCR who speaks of a qualitative change in national politics shamelessly violated the anti-defection law, and forced many opposition MLAs and MPs to his party by misusing his power. The strength of the TRS in 2014 was only 63, but is now 82, thanks to the defections. He also gave ministries to MLAs who defected from other parties. He has scant respect for the Indian Constitution and democratic values," he alleged.
Sravan also accused KCR of neglecting those participated in the statehood movement, extending no help to the families of over 4,500 farmers who committed suicides in the last four years, denying scholarships and fee reimbursements to students, doing nothing to provide the promised government jobs and pushing Telangana into a debt trap of over Rs. 2 lakh crores.
"KCR, who has of late started talking of the China development model, has already started to suppress the people of Telangana as China did in Tiananmen Square. There is no democracy in Telangana, with even Dharna Chowk removed. It is complete dictatorship, family rule, blatant corruption and freedom of expression scuttled even for the media. A police raj is prevailing in Telangana that violated the fundamental human rights. Despite the Supreme Court's intervention, KCR has not set up a Human Rights Commission in Telangana," he alleged.
"Thousands of crores of rupees have been swindled in the name of re-designing of irrigation projects during the past three years. KCR is spending that ill-gotten wealth to wander in private chartered planes and living a luxurious life. The national leaders he is approaching must recognize that KCR, being a dictator, a habitual liar, an organized looter and a destroyer of the constitutional values, can't be a national leader. If it happens, it will be a curse to Indian democracy," Sravan concluded.
