Congress Will Relocate Industries To Karnataka If Elected: KTR

The minister claimed that Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar had written to Foxconn asking the company to shift its manufacturing unit from Telangana to Karnataka.

BRS working president and Telangana minister K T Rama Rao today said that if the Congress came to power in Telangana, all the industrial units from the State would be shifted to Karnataka.

Addressing a lawyers' meeting at Jala Vihar, the minister read out a letter written by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar to Foxconn wherein the latter allegedly tried to influence the company to shift its manufacturing unit from Telangana to Karnataka.

"If BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao is not in power, Telangana's interests will be compromised. D K Shivakumar's letter to Foxconn is one example. I am not trying to horrify you, but am explaining the facts," KTR said, and added that this should serve as an eye-opener for many who wondered what difference it would make if the BRS was not elected to power.

KTR spoke of how the Telangana government had worked very hard and held multiple meetings with the heads of Foxconn before the company came forward to set up its unit in Telangana in 2022.

"Bangalore became the new 'adda' for the Congress after Delhim and if Telangana goes into the hands of the Congress, companies like Foxconn, which will give one lakh jobs to the people of Telangana through its unit here, will shut their shop here and relocate to Bangalore," KTR claimed.

KTR also said that Shivakumar when he had come to campaign in Telangana recently had said that the Congress in Karnataka was giving five hours' power, and that the farmers of the State, who he claimed were getting 24x7 free power, were now frightened that Congress would do the same if it came to power in Telangana.

KTR also said that CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar were both in the race for CM position in Karnataka, and that now Mallikarjun Kharge's son too had made a statement that he was also in the race. Those camp politics were typical of the Congress, a party which always brought in political instability and whose Chief Ministers changed every six months, he claimed.

"Rahul Gandhi says the fight in Telangana is between the doras and the common man. This election is between the Delhi doras and the Telangana people. And the people of Telangana will win yet again," KTR added.

He said that none of the Congress or BJP leaders in Telangana had a spine and that they all operated under Rahul Gandhi and PM Modi respectively, and appealed to the people to not make the mistake of handing over Telangana to such leaders.
