Botsa Satyanarayana was nonchalance personified while addressing Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader N Chandrababu Naidu's declaration that he would move the no-confidence motion against the Congress.
The Transport Minister stated that the Congress welcomes the no-confidence motion. He explained that he saw the motion as an opportunity to present to the public the facts and figures regarding all the developmental works that were implemented by the government.
He said that the Assembly would serve as a platform for the Congress to reveal to the public all the progress that it has recorded during its tenure, and expressed confidence that his party would pass through this phase unscathed.
According to sources, political gurus have also opined that the no-confidence motion may not be able to topple the government after all.
Another Congress leader spoke to the media at the Assembly, and stated that the party has the strength of numbers. He explained that the party leaders who were sailing with Jagan would also be obliged to vote in favour of the Congress because of the party whip that would be issued.
The seemingly indifferent attitute of the Congress leaders sets people wondering if their reactions are a facade or are genuine.
The Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) has not yet responded to this turn of events.
