On the occasion of the 10th death anniversary of former CLP leader P Janardhan Reddy, TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy paid rich tributes to the prolific late statesman.
Addressing a function marking the decennial death anniversary of Janardhan Reddy, or PJR as he was fondly called, at Khairatabad, the TPCC chief said that the former was a true public leader who served the people with utmost honesty and dedication.
Stating that PJR had played a major role in getting the Metro Rail and Krishna river waters to Hyderabad, he announced that the Hyderabad Metro Rail would be named after P Janardhan Reddy once the Congress party came to power in 2019.
He also said that the party winning 15 Assembly and two Lok Sabha seats of Hyderabad in the next elections would be a real tribute to the former leader.
PJR's son and ex-MLA Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, and other Congress leaders, too, participated in the event.
