Congress To Launch Pattana Ghosha Against TRS' Pattana Pragathi
The party claimed that the Pattana Pragathi program had been launched just to cheat the Hyderabad residents, given that the GHMC elections were scheduled for very soon.
Malkajgiri MP and Telangana Congress leader A Revanth Reddy today alleged that there was a political motive behind every welfare program of the state government, and that in true form, its Pattana Pragathi program had been launched just to cheat the residents of the GHMC limits, given that elections for the municipal corporation were scheduled for very soon.
He also said that the Congress would launch a "Pattana Ghosha" program to counter the TRS program.
As is his wont, Reddy attacked the TRS on a variety of fronts. He criticized the party for making election promises despite knowing that there was no way it could implement them. Referring specifically to the free 2-BHK flat scheme, he said that some 30 lakh people from across the state including some 10 lakh people livig in the GHMC limits were found to be eligible for the scheme. However, the government had constructed only 108 houses for the homeless under the GHMC limits.
Reddy also alleged that the CM had imposed a burden of Rs 3 lakh on each and every family in the state due to the loans he had taken for the state. He also said he would take up the issue of misappropriation of funds of the Centre by the state government in the Lok Sabha, and asked Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy why he didn't hold a review meeting despite knowing that the funds meant for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Scheme were being diverted.
