Congress Calls TDP's 100 Days, Term Of "101 Lies"
APCC president Raghuveera Reddy also alleged that a non-cadre officer Abhishta, an OSD in the CMO, had been influencing the government's decisions.
Hyderabad | 15th September 2014
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Dr N Raghuveera Reddy on Monday described the 100 days of TDP rule in AP as full of failures.
Addressing a press conference along with Rajya Sabha MPs K Chiranjeevi and K V P Ramchandra Rao, and Leader of the Opposition in the A P Legislative Council Dr A Chakrapani, at Indira Bhavan, Reddy alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had spoke 101 lies during his 100 days' tenure.
He said that the TDP government had failed to fulfill its promise of waiving off farmers' and DWCRA loans.
Further, no efforts were made to resolve the energy crisis.
He claimed that Naidu had given an affidavit to the Election Commission promising that he would fulfill all the promises that he made in his manifesto.
Raghuveera Reddy ridiculed the Vision 2029 document of the government, and said that the TDP should speak only about its plans for the next 5 years.
He said that it was due to the wrong policies of the government that the farmers were facing a bank loan holiday.
He also accused Naidu of preventing the A P Public Service Commission from issuing notifications for new jobs.
As against the promise of creation of new jobs, the government had actually removed the jobs of Adarsh Kisan, Field Assistants and Mid-day Meal employees, he alleged.
The APCC chief said that in order to please his ally - the BJP - Naidu did not induct any Muslim minister in his cabinet.
The CM also ignored the Scheduled Tribes in his cabinet, Reddy said.
Reddy also alleged that a non-cadre officer Abhishta, who was working as an OSD in the CMO, had been influencing the government's decisions.
He said that the officer was ignoring even the recommendations of ministers and other IAS officials.
He also alleged that non-cadre officials were being allowed to sit in Cabinet meetings, which was against the rules.
Former ministers Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and S M Ahmedullah were also present. (INN)
