With the date for the Telangana all-party meet getting closer, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has been a busy man. He is currently at the AP Bhavan in Delhi post summons by none other than Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Sources say that he is scheduled to meet AP Congress affairs incharge Ghulam Nabi Azad, and maybe Sonia Gandhi, later in the day.
It may be mentioned that several prominent Congress leaders in the state, including Governor E S L Narasimhan and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, have been issued summons as well. Speculations are on about the reason for the exodus of all our Congress ministers to the national capital.
On one hand, sources say, it could be in order to take a decision on the Telangana issue ahead of the Telangana all-party meet, as pressure is being brought to bear on them from all the opposition parties in the state.
There are also those of the opinion that Sonia is aware of the fact that Congress needs to get its act together before the 2014 elections, and has sent for the AP Congress leaders to discuss all the issues with governance in the state.
