Telangana Congress leaders Dasoju Sravan and S A Sampath Kumar today said that they still had doubts that the EVMs were tampered with by the TRS in the just-concluded Telangana Assembly elections.
Addressing mediapersons in Hyderabad, the two leaders said that there was a huge difference between the number of votes polled and the number counted on the counting day.
Dasoju also expressed surprise at the fact that the TRS candidates who were chased away by the people in the villages of their constituencies when they went for campaigning had got a huge number of votes.
Alleging that there were many irregularities in the election process including EVM tampering and the deletion of 22 lakhs names from the voters' list, the leaders said that they would fight on the issue of the deletion of the names of the voters in the days to come.
Making serious allegations against the Telangana CEO Rajat Kumar and the EC, Dasoju said that the EC had acted as a servant of the ruling TRS by failing to act on the complaints of the Congress on the EVM tampering and the deletion of names. He also said that the EC had turned a blind eye to the party's request to count the VVPAT slips along with the EVMs.
Dasoju also said that people who committed such mistakes would be publicly executed in the Gulf countries, and that if a lie detector test was conducted on Kumar the facts would come out.
