Congressmen Held For Bid To Storm Pragathi Bhavan
Tension prevailed when some Congress leaders tried to storm Pragathi Bhavan in protest against IT Minister K T Rama Rao's remarks against Sonia Gandhi.
Tension prevailed for some time today when some senior Congress leaders tried to storm Pragathi Bhavan in protest against IT Minister K T Rama Rao's remarks against UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
The police stopped the Congress leaders at Gandhi Bhavan (the Congress headquarters in Hyderabad) itself when the latter tried to proceed towards Pragathi Bhavan. Heated arguments then took place between the leaders and police officials.
The police then arrested the Congress leaders and shifted them to the Goshamahal police station. Those arrested included Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Telangana Youth Congress president Anil Kumar Yadav, Youth Congress national president Keshav Chand Yadav and several others.
