BRS MLA and former minister V Prashanth Reddy today alleged that the ruling Congress government was resorting to vendetta politics against the BRS.
Addressing media persons at Assembly Media Point, he said that the Congress government had changed the chamber of their party floor leader and former CM K Chandrashekar Rao, who was also the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, and had allotted him a small room instead of the office given to the Leader of Opposition for several years.
Reddy said that the chamber allotted in the first Assembly session had been changed in the second session.
"The office of the Leader of Opposition, which was in the inner lobby, has now been shifted to a small room in the outer lobby," he said.
He said that the BRS was taking strong exception to the allotment of the small room to the Leader of Opposition, pointing out that the party had 39 MLAs.
He said that they had met Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on the issue and had expressed their objections.
He accused the Congress government of indulging in vendetta politics, and said that the government's move was aimed solely at insulting the Leader of Opposition.
