Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, MLC and Deputy Telangana CLP leader, led a dharna before the Kalluru RDO's office, saying the decision to form the Rythu Samanvaya Samithis was unilateral. He demanded withdrawal of GO No 39, and submitted a memorandum to the Joint Collector, RDO and MRO. He said that the Rythu Samanvaya Samithis should be selected through the grama sabhas. Along with Reddy, TPCC leader Katla Ranga Rao, TPYC secretary R Manohar Naidu, several sarpanches, Congress workers and leaders participated in the program.
In Khammam, State Mahila Congress president Nerella Sharada organised a rally and staged a dharna at the Tahsildar office alleging that the state government had brought in an undemocratic GO to curb the rights of farmers.
At Ibrahimpatnam, Rangareddy DCC president Kyama Mallesh staged a dharna in front of the MRO office along with party activists. The protestors also burnt an effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Police arrested the leaders and shifted them to a police station.
