Demanding that the Centre order an inquiry into the "note-for-vote" and phone-tapping cases, Telangana Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy alleged that an agreement was reached between Chief Ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrashekar Rao to not expose the mistakes of each other.
Speaking to the media at the CLP office on Saturday, Reddy asked both the Chief Ministers, who had furiously traded charges on the cases, why they were not speaking about those cases any more.
He likened KCR and Chandrababu Naidu to dacoits who shared villages, and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi how the latter could shake hands with the two Chief Ministers who were facing serious charges.
"It seems the Chief Ministers reached a compromise in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who attended the foundation stone-laying ceremony of Amaravathi," he said, and faulted the Prime Minister for encouraging the CMs to forge an "unholy" agreement "making a mockery of democracy".
He also demanded that the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments disclose what happened to the investigations into the two cases.
