Congress, BJP Leaders Participate In Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu

The famous Ujjaini Mahankali bonalu were held in a grand manner in the famous Secunderabad temple today. Several important people of the State visited the temple and performed special prayers.

AICC state incharge and party MP Manickam Tagore, TPCC president Revanth Reddy, AICC secretary Bose Raju, TPCC working president and former MP M Anjan Kumar Yadav, and party leaders M Anil Kumar Yadav and Harkala Venugopal offered prayers at the temple.

Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy said that he prayed the presiding deity to fulfill the aspirations of the people of the state, protect communal harmony, prevent natural calamities and save the State from any kind of financial crisis.

He alleged that the TRS leaders were taking several anti-Telangana decisions, and that such decisions were posing a great threat to democracy. He said that he prayed the deity to change the thought processes of the rulers of the State and union governments, and help them rule the State and the country in a proper manner.

Union Minister for Tourism & Culture G Kishan Reddy too took part in the bonalu celebrations at the temple and offered prayers along with his family members.

He also presented a bonam to the presiding deity on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy extended bonalu greetings to the Hindu community. He told the media that he asked the presiding deity to show mercy on the people who were suffering due to the recent floods.

The minister said that he also prayed for the prevention of seasonal diseases and problems for the people, for the warding off of natural calamities and disasters in the State, and for the prevention of Covid outbreaks.

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya too offered special prayers at the temple, and greeted the people. He said that he had prayed for the prosperity and happiness of the people of the country in his prayers.
