Bhongir MP and senior Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today wrote a letter to Telangana CM K Chandreshekar Rao on the LRS and the union government's new agriculture bills.
In his letter, he urged the CM to pass a resolution in the upcoming session of the Assembly opposing the agriculture bills.
He said that the bills would cause great losses to the farmers of the state and the country.
He said that the Congress completely opposed the bills, and added that all Congress-ruled states had passed resolutions opposing the bills.
Reddy also asked the state government to rethink the controversial LRS, claiming that the scheme has become a burden for the common people of the state.
He asked the state government to implement the scheme without collecting any charges from the people, and demanded that the CM make a statement on the issue in the Assembly.
