Sunday marked another medals-haul show by Indians on day 7 of the Commonwealth Games (see the latest medal tally
here).
17-year-old archer Deepika Kumari won the gold in women's individual recurve, and Rahul Banerjee followed suit in the men's individual recurve. Somdev Devvarman bagged the men's singles gold in tennis and grappler Sushil Kumar struck gold in the 66 kg category. Another golden milestone was achieved by Harpreet Singh, in the men's 25m centre fire pistol.
The silver quota was filled by Vijay Kumar in centre fire pistol, wrestlers Anuj Kumar and Joginder Kumar in the 84 kg and 120 kg categories respectively, Vikas Gowda in men's discus and Malliakal Prajusha in women's long jump.
Manavjit Singh Sandhu clinched a bronze in single trap shooting, and Jayanta Talukdar added another bronze in the men's recurve event.
More bronze medals followed, by Sania Mirza and Rushmi Chakravarthi finishing third in women's tennis doubles and by Dola Banerjee in women's recurve. Grappler Anil Kumar brought a bronze in 55kg freestyle category.
