The shooters continued to reap gold on the 5th day, with Gagan Narang winning a gold in 50m 3-position pairs, Vijay Kumar in 25m rapid fire and Omkar Singh in 10m air pistol.
The women recurve team, comprising of Dola Banerjee, Bombayala Devi and Deepika Kumari struck gold in archery. The women shone in wrestling, too, with Alka Tomar (59 kg freestyle) and Anita (67 kg freestyle) bagging a gold medal each.
Runner Kavita Raut became the first Indian medal winner in track events, by winning a bronze. Gurpreet Singh fetched India another bronze in the men's single's 25 m rapid fire pistol event, and the archers team of Rahul Banerjee Tarundeep Rai and Jayanta Talukdar added the third bronze in the recurve competition.
Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Mansher Singh won a silver in the pairs traps event, Wrestler Babita Kumari added another silver to her kitty in the 51 kg category, and Ashish Kumar clinched the third silver in men's individual vault.
