Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will hold talks with the APNGOs and other unions, who are on strike demanding a united Andhra Pradesh, on October 17.
A decision to this effect was taken on Tuesday when APNGOs president Ashok Babu called on the CM at the state Secretariat.
The APNGOs have agreed for talks to find a way to end the strike that has been going on since August 12. Over 4,00,000 employees are on strike in protest against the Centre's decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to carve out a separate Telangana state.
The APNGOs' talks with the Cabinet Sub-Committee failed earlier, and later on they refused to participate in talks with the sub-committee.
The CM has so far been successful in ending the strike by teachers, and by RTC and Secretariat employees, by holding talks with them. (INN)
