Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited the historic Golconda Fort himself on Monday evening to look for possible venues to conduct the flag hoisting and parade on Independence Day.
Accompanied by some ministers, GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain and senior officials, the Chief Minister spent nearly 45 minutes at the fort.
A location near Fateh Rahbar Top (canon), also known as Athara Seedhi (18 stairs), has reportedly been identified by the Chief Minister as an ideal location for the official celebrations of Independence Day.
Later, the Chief Minister and his team also visited the famous Baobab tree, also known as Hathiyon Sa Jhad (Elephant Sized Tree), located in Naya Qila. (INN)
