The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew and senior irrigation officials to speed up the remaining works as most of the projects had been completed up to 90%.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the progress of irrigation projects costing about Rs. 28,000 crores in the Rayalaseema area at the State Secretariat here on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew and senior irrigation officials to speed up the remaining works as most of the projects completed up to 90% works. He also asked them to sort out the remaining small issues immediately. He also asked the officials to list out the problems project-wise and directed to inform wherever his, Ministers or Chief Secretary's intervention was required to pursue with Government of India.
Kiran Kumar Reddy also asked to send proposals for appointment of liaison officer at Delhi to speedy persuasion of matters with Ministry of Forests & Environment and other ministries. Chief Minister also directed to speed up the Relief and Rehabilitation package and everyone to be rehabilitated properly. (INN)
