The Telangana High Court today said that the petitioners seeking a stay on Andhra Pradesh's Rayalaseema lift irrigation project could move Supreme Court against it.
The Telangana High Court today said that the petitioners seeking a stay on Andhra Pradesh's Rayalaseema lift irrigation project could move Supreme Court against it.
The court heard a petition by Congress leader Vamshichand Reddy and social activist Srinivas seeking a stay on the project. They urged the court to stall the AP government from taking up the project as it would immense cause loss to Telangana.
The project construction was also a violation of the Apex Council rulings, and it did not get the necessary permissions, they argued.
They also asked the court to deal with the case as per the AP Reorganisation Act.
The court said that it could not intervene in the inter-state matter, and asked them to approach the Supreme Court instead.
