Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Wednesday accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu of stalling the debate on the Telangana Bill.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly's media point, Pocharam said that although the CM and Naidu themselves were not coming to the House, they were engineering a pandemonium through their MLAs, in order to prevent a discussion on the Telangana Bill.
He also asked the Chief Minister to specify the agenda and outcome of his meeting with Seemandhra leaders of the Congress held on Tuesday night.
In addition, he accused legislators from the YSR Congress Party and the TDP of trying to blackmail Speaker Nadendla Manohar.
Pocharam said that people of the Seemandhra region too were not happy with the behaviour of their representatives in the House. He advised Seemandhra MLAs to participate in the discussion on the Telangana Bill. He said that they should not test the patience of Telangana people, who he said have been struggling to get statehood for the region for the last 60 years. (INN)
