It is being speculated that the CM is to attend a core-committee meeting there, where several key decisions might be taken with regard to the Telangana issue.
It has been reported that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has been summoned to New Delhi by the Congress high command. He is to reach there by the 25th of January, 3 days prior to the high command's self-imposed deadline for taking a clear-cut decision on the Telangana issue.
It is being speculated that the CM has been called to Delhi to attend a core-committee meeting that will be happening there, and several key decisions will be taken there with regard to the Telangana statehood issue. Reportedly, PM Manmohan Singh, AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, and several other Congress honchos are expected to be present.
Meanwhile, the newly-crowned Vice-president of the AICC, Rahul Gandhi, has convened a meeting later today, and it is expected that debate on the Telangana issue will occupy an huge chunk of time at the meeting.
