Government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy on Saturday claimed that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is not opposing the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Speaking to media persons here, Gandra said that the Chief Minister has only expressed concerns over the bifurcation of state and the possible problems that could arise due to the division.
He advised TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to review the statements of Kiran Kumar Reddy before making allegations that the Chief Minister is opposing Telangana.
Gandra also dismissed TDP's allegations that AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh visited Hyderabad to bribe Seemandhra MLAs.
He said that the TDP chief should first explain his stand on Telangana before making any allegations. He said that Naidu is leveling such allegations only to cover up his failures. (INN)
