Congress Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao has alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy ranks second after his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi in spreading false propaganda.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, VHR said that the CM has tried all means to halt the process of Telangana formation.
"In the end, he tried to instill fear among the people by predicting water wars and a spurt in Naxal violence," V Hanumantha Rao added.
He accused Kiran Kumar Reddy of misusing his position to spread falsehood.
He predicted the CM's regime would go into history as the "Dark Ages", due to his "false propaganda".
VHR asked as to why Kiran Kumar Reddy was silent when former Chief Minister Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had submitted a report in favour of Telangana.
Accusing him of exploiting the sentiments of the people of the Seemandhra region, he advised that the CM abide by the decision taken by the Congress High Command.
The Congress MP also ridiculed claims that Hyderabad was developed by the people and leaders of the Seemandhra region. He said that Hyderabad was developed by the last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan, who was also the richest man in the world. (INN)
