Kiran Kumar Reddy Flags Off First Air Costa Flight
The CM flagged off the first Air Costa Airlines flight from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The flight will run between Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy flagged off the first flight of Air Costa Airlines, from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, on Monday. This flight will run between Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
He lighted the traditional lamp at the airport, to mark the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM expressed happiness over the first airline services started by a "state-owned company". He wished the company success in its future endeavours.
Union Minister of State for Finance J D Seelam, Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar, Minister for Textiles G Prasada Kumar, and Chairman of Air Costa Lingamaneni Ramesh were present.
The CM said that the state government will come out with its own civil aviation policy soon. Under this policy, several incentives will be announced for the development of regional airports, he added.
The commercial flights of the Air Costa started from Tuesday. Initially, the Air Costa flights will operate from Vijayawada, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Hyderabad. (INN)
