Close All Check Posts In Telangana: Revanth Reddy

The CM asked the State Transport Department officials to submit a detailed report on the closure by 5 pm today.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today directed officials to immediately close all transport check posts across Telangana.

Following the CM's instructions, the State transport department issued orders to to that effect, with the Transport Commissioner instructing that all check post activities be stopped immediately and that the staff stationed there be reassigned to other official duties.

District Transport Officers (DTOs) were directed to remove signboards and barricades at check posts to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles. All records, equipment and furniture from the check posts will be shifted to the respective DTO offices. Officials were also instructed to verify and preserve all financial and administrative records.

The officials concerned were asked to submit a detailed report on the closure by 5 pm today.
