A former legislator, Adusumilli Jayaprakash, has said he would approach the Supreme Court against the
repeal of Clause 14 F of Presidential Orders of 1975.
Talking to media persons on Friday, Adusumilli Jayaprakash said the deletion of Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders was a violation of the Indian Constitution.
He said that would file a petition in the apex court, seeking justice, as he believed deleting the clause would harm the interests of thousands of students in the state.
Meanwhile, protesting against the President giving her assent to the deletion of controversial clause, the students' Joint Action committee of Guntur has announced a hunger strike.
The JAC said that by a repeal of the Clause 14 F, many students would lose an opportunity to serve in the state capital.
The Seemandhra students' Joint Action committee also took serious objection to the President giving her nod to the deletion of the clause without consulting constitutional experts. (INN)
