Congress Rajya Sabha member and actor Chiranjeevi alleged that
the train-torching incident during the "Kapu Garjana" was due to lack of transparent rule by the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh.
Chiranjeevi addressed an open letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday on the Tuni incidents.
While expressing shock over the train-burning, Chiranjeevi said that the TDP government had assured that it would include the Kapus in the BC list during the campaigning for the last Assembly elections but had failed to do so even after 18 months.
The Chief Minister had also stated that he would allocate Rs 1,000 crores every year for the welfare of the Kapus but only allocated Rs 100 crores.
The Chief Minister also forgot his word of waiving off of the DWCRA women's loans, Chiranjeevi alleged in the flow.
The MP demanded that the Chief Minister include the Kapus in the BC list but without doing any sort of injustice to the BCs already existing, and make a unanimous resolution in the Assembly to that effect and send the same to the Centre.
Also alleging that the TDP government was not following transparency in the construction of Amaravathi, Chiranjeevi said that it was atrocious on the part of the Chief Minister that he was resorting to counter-allegations instead of fulfilling the assurances made by his government.
Chiranjeevi warned that not only the Kapus but also BCs, women, and farmers who gave their lands for the sake of the capital's construction, would come on to the roads to take up movements if he did not deliver on his promises and stayed opaque.
