Hyderabad | 11th April 2020
The Chinese embassy in India reacted sharply to the slogans of controversial BJP MLA T Raja Singh, who represents Goshamahal in the Telangana Assembly.

It condemned Singh's slogan "Chinese virus go back" during the blackout program held in the state on April 5, 2020.

The Counselor of the People's Republic of China in India Leu Bing wrote a letter to Singh on the issue and told him that it was China which has told the world about the coronavirus.

He also claimed that the virus was not born in their country.

Singh responded to the letter by the Chinese Counselor saying that US President Donald Trump had also made similar remarks, and had termed the virus as Chinese Virus / Wuhan Virus in numerous speeches in recent times.
