Chilkur Temple Priest Blesses Ukranian Bride & City Groom
Prateek and Lyubov had tied the knot in Ukraine and had come to India to host the reception in Hyderabad, and the war began the day after they landed here.
The Chilkur Balaji temple priest Dr C S Rangarajan, along with select devotees of Lord Balaji, performed prayers at the 16th century Venkateswara shrine today seeking an end to the Russian aggression over Ukraine and restoration of peace.
The priest later also blessed a young couple at an evening reception in Hyderabad.
The bride was from Ukraine and the groom was the son of Mallikarjuna Rao, Dr Rangarajan's batchmate in the Osmania University biomedical engineering department.
Rao and Padmaja, parents of the groom, were very happy when the priest blessed the couple.
