Hyderabad | 24th November 2019
"I have been visiting the temple of Lord Venkateswara from the past 40 years, but this time it was a totally new experience for me," said Chief Justice of India Sharad Arvind Bobde, who is on his maiden visit to Tirumala after becoming CJI.

Justice Bobde was given a traditional welcome with isthikaphal by the temple priests, after being received by TTD Chairman Y V Subba Reddy, EO Anil Kumar Singhal and Additional EO A V Dharma Reddy on his arrival at the main entrance of the Tirumala temple.

Later, along with his son Srinivas Bobde, the CJI offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara in the sanctum sanctorum.

The Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari also accompanied the CJI during the darshan.

After the darshan, the temple priests at the Ranganayakula Mandapam offered Vedasirvachanam to the CJI.

The Chairman, EO and Additional EO offered tirtha prasadams and a laminated photo of the Lord to the dignitary.

Sharing his experience of the darshan, the CJI said, "It was really a great experience to have darshan and blessings of Lord Venkateswara in the capacity of CJI. The temple and its precincts, the architecture and the serene environs gave a soothing feel and positive energy. The maintenance of the temple by the TTD authorities is laudable."

Tirupati Urban SP Gajarao Bhupal, Temple Dy EO Harindranath and others were also present.
