The Hyderabad Metro Rail on Saturday started collecting charges from people for using the toilets at select metro stations in the city.
According to the Metro officials, the user charges are being collected at stations where the passengers' rush is heavy.
They said that the public washrooms at these Metro stations had been handed over to Sulabh International for maintenance and collection of the user charges.
Officials said that Rs 2 would be collected for utilising a urinal and Rs 5 for using a toilet at these stations.
They said that the decision had been taken to provide cleanliness at these stations.
