TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha at her residence in Chennai on Thursday.
Seeking her support to get equal justice for all the regions in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu apprised Jayalalitha of the volatile situation prevailing in the state. During his 45-minute meeting, Naidu requested Jayalalitha to oppose the "attitude" of the Congress in dealing with the bifurcation issue.
Speaking to media persons later, Naidu alleged that the Congress is trying to derive political mileage out of the bifurcation issue.
Alleging that the Congress has a secret pact with the TRS and YSRCP on the subject of Telangana, he blamed the ruling party for the political uncertainty in the state. He said that when Andhra was separated from the erstwhile Madras Province, the people of both regions were happy, but that the Congress has sown the seeds of hatred between two regions in the case of Telangana.
Naidu was accompanied by senior leaders, including Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Revuri Prakash Reddy. (INN)
