Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday extended his best wishes to the people of the State for Makara Sankranti.
"My best wishes on Sankranti! May this festival bring joy to all and usher in a happy and healthier tomorrow. The sight of the skies full of colourful kites is a delight. Have a wonderful day with family and friends!" the Chief Minister said.
"I hope that the people will celebrate this festival with rays of joy and hope with their family members and well-wishers," he added.
He said that Sankranti was a festival of farmers, and his government was at the forefront of making agriculture sustainable and profitable in the years to come.
"We have also conducted the third phase of the Janmabhoomi - Maa Vooru campaign successfully, stressing on rural development," he said.
Naidu added that the Rs 4.67 lakh crores in investment proposals signed during the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam would help the "Sunrise State" achieve its vision.
