Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu extended Ugadi greetings to all the Telugu and Kannada people across the world.
Stating that the new state of Andhra Pradesh is celebrating the Telugu New Year for the first time after bifurcation, he said that the festival was special for the people of AP because it would mark the dawn of a sunrise Andhra Pradesh and lay stronger foundations for the rapid development of the state.
"It marks the beginning of an epoch-making era," he stated.
"I hope that Manmadha Nama Ugadi infuses rigour and a spirit of togetherness, peace, progress and prosperity among the Telugu people of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. I hope everyone celebrates the festival with pomp and gaiety," the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister added, "People of this state are partners in development. We are committed to building a vibrant state where prosperity means economic growth with a human face and where the interests of vulnerable groups are protected and cared for."
Stating that AP's capital city would be the cynosure of all eyes, the Chief Minister said that the government aimed for inclusive growth in which equal opportunities were available to all participants in the process of economic growth, and benefits accrued to all sections of the society. (INN)
