The opposition leader of Andhra Pradesh and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today condemned the arrest of party leader and MLA K Acchannaidu by the ACB.
He termed the arrest of Acchannaidu as brutal and illegal.
Naidu conducted a tele-conference with party leaders in the wake of the arrest of the party MLA. Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that over 300 policemen had raided the house of Acchannaidu and arrested him.
He said that the MLA had recently undergone a surgery and had been taking rest at his home, and alleged that the police had not even allowed him to take his medicines.
He termed the arrest of Acchannaidu a barbaric act and came down heavily on CM Y S Jaganmohan Reddy alleging that the sadism of the CM had reached peaks.
Naidu claimed that the arrest of Acchannaidu was the result of the TDP's strong fight against the "corruption" of Jaganmohan Reddy. He alleged that one-year-long rule of Reddy was filled with all kinds of scams.
He said that the family of Acchannaidu was renown for its good deeds, and said that the CM would be held responsible if anything happened to Acchannaidu.
