Naidu Asks Centre To Invite JACs For Talks
TDP leader, Chandra Babu Naidu demands that the Centre hold consultations with the JACs of both the Telangana and Seemandhra regions to resolve the bifurcation issue.
Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday demanded that the Centre resolve the ongoing crisis in the state by holding consultations with the JACs of both the Telangana and Seemandhra regions.
Addressing a press conference here, Naidu blamed the Congress-led UPA government for the present crisis. He said, "The Congress leaders were deliberately issuing contradictory statements to vitiate the atmosphere, in order to draw political mileage."
Citing an instance, he said that while one leader claimed that the A K Antony Committee would visit the state, another leader dismissed the possibility.
Naidu also raised suspicion over the meeting of the CBI Director with AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh. He alleged that the meeting was aimed at bailing out the YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been arrested in relation to the Disproportionate Assets case. He also alleged that the YSRCP had a secret deal with the Congress party.
The TDP chief also accused the ruling party of misusing the CBI for political benefits. He said, "The Congress party has been shielding the corrupt leaders. The CBI has indirectly tried to give a clean chit to Jagan through its last memo filed in the case."
He said the memo was entirely different from the chargesheets filed against Jagan earlier. (INN)
