The CBI special court at Nampally, on Monday, permitted Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy to go to New Delhi.
The court took this decision after hearing arguments and counter-arguments from the both sides. Giving its nod to Vijay Sai Reddy's Delhi visit, the court directed him to inform the CBI two days before proceeding to New Delhi, and to submit all the details of his visit.
The court permitted him to go to New Delhi between 20 July and 29 September, and directed him to be available on phone from 8am to 9pm every day.
Vijay Sai Reddy, the second accused in the disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy, was earlier granted conditional bail that prevented him from leaving the city.
Reddy urged the court to exempt him from the condition, on the grounds that he had to visit Delhi and consult his lawyers as he wanted to implead in the case that YSRC honorary president Vijayamma had filed against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu in the Supreme Court. (INN)
