Telugu film hero Mahesh Babu's
Bharat Ane Nenu landed in a controversy today after three weeks of its release.
"Navodayam" political party president Dasari Ramu objected to the film using his party's name, against the Election Commission rules and against the copyright act.
Bharat Ane Nenu showed the president of Navodayam as corrupt and as a murderer, and that would harm his party's interests, he said. His party had served legal notices to the director Koratala Shiva and the producers of the film demanding an explanation within a week, he said.
Ramu warned that he would launch a legal fight if the producers failed to delete the objectionable scenes.
Ramu said that he had floated Navodayam in 2012 and had got the Election Commission's recognition.
