In the wake of KCR's latest vitriol, the TDP has assured the increasingly jittery people of Hyderabad that the TDP will protect them from any violence by the TRS.
KCR went one step further from his usual levels yesterday when he said that he will cut the tongue of anyone who speaks for a United Andhra. Hyderabad is increasingly becoming an unsafe place for people who do not hail from Telangana, and TDP leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav reflected this concern when he opened the arms of the TDP to those needing a hero.
Telling people that the TDP was committed to keeping a Hyderabad safe haven from violent elements, he told them to just call the TDP office if they experienced any danger. He said that Hyderabad has lost 100,000 jobs already since the TRS threats and virulence started, and said that action should be taken against KCR for his "tongue-cutting" comments. He said that people are scared to venture out alone in Hyderabad these days, and joined the chorus of people who are demanding action against KCR for a comment that is vitriolic even by his normal standards.
And quite a chorus that is. KCR's comment was made specifically targeting Mohan Babu, but applies to anyone who believes in such foolish things like he/she is free to express an opinion that KCR doesn't approve of. And most leaders cutting across parties are up in arms against what they perceive as sheer villiany.
Mohan Babu also attracted huge support from people who stuck their tongues out asking KCR to cut them. He is planning a peace rally in Hyderabad along the Tank Bund in a couple of days, and has asked to speak to the CM about KCR's tirade. Rosaiah has said that he will talk to him in a couple of days.
