"The CAG report is not Bhagwad Gita, Koran or Bible. They give their reports. We will give the explanation. It need not be taken that seriously," said the CM.
A short discussion on power crisis in the Legislative Assembly turned into be a war of words between the ruling and opposition parties with the Chief Minister admitting that there was a scarcity of power in the statem, but slamming the opposition on bringing up the CAG report.
"The CAG report is not Bhagwad Gita, Koran or Bible. They give their reports. We will give the explanation. It need not be taken that seriously. There is a crisis in the state and we are addressing it," he said.
The issue came up when TDP member P Kesavulu pointed out that CAG has reported that APGENCO rates are higher that others.
Transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana also agreed that there was a crisis in the power sector, and that steps are being taken to ease the crisis.
Meanwhile, Left parties held dharnas across the state in protesting against the power charges. (INN)
