Byreddy Slams Naidu's Claim Of Being Son Of Seema
Rayalaseema leader Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy objected to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu claiming Seema nativity after denying benefits to students of the region.
Rayalaseema Hakkula Parirakshana Samithi (Rayalaseema Rights Protection Committee) president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy today took serious exception to the reported comment of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu that the latter, too, was a son of the Seema soil.
Speaking to mediapersons, Byreddy said that it was shame on the part of Naidu to say that he was a son of Rayalaseema, when he had not only violated the Sribhag Agreement but had also prevented medical seats to the regional students by issuing GO No. 120.
How could Naidu now say that he would work till his last breath for the development of the Rayalaseema region, he asked.
Byreddy said he was ready for a debate with Naidu on the injustice meted out to the Rayalaseema region, and challenged Naidu for an open debate on the issue.
"The Rayalaseema people don't want any false promises. They want water for irrigation," he said.
