Agriculture Special Budget On Monday

In the midst of criticism that agriculture is being neglected, the Andhra Pradesh government will be presenting a special budget for agriculture tomorrow.

In the midst of criticism that agriculture is being neglected, the Andhra Pradesh government will be presenting a special budget for agriculture tomorrow.

The main budget for the year 2013-14 will be presented by Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, while Agriculture Minister Kanna Laxminaryana will present the special budget later.

The agriculture budget will cover allocations to agriculture and eight of its allied sectors, including animal husbandry, fisheries, horticulture, sugar, water supply, food processing and marketing. A high level team, led by the Minister has visited Karnataka and studied the methodology being adopted by the neighbouring state in the special budget for agriculture. (INN)
