BRS MLA Tellam Venkat Rao Joins Congress

Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkat Rao joined the Congress today in the presence of CM Revanth Reddy at the latter's residence.

Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkat Rao joined the Congress today in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the latter's residence.

Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy invited the MLA to join the party.

Many of Rao's supporters too joined the Congress along with Rao.

In the recently held Assembly elections, the BRS won only one seat (Bhadrachalam) of the 10 seats in the combined Khammam district. However, since the Congress government came to power in Telangana, Rao has been staying away from BRS activities and has been moving closely with the Congress.

Rao is the third BRS MLA after Kadiyam Srihari and Danam Nagender to have joined the Congress.
