Tirupati Laddu Sales Break Records
A record number of 1,63,988 laddus were sold upto the 3rd day of the annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala.

A record number of 1,63,988 laddus were sold on the 3rd day of the annual Brahmotsavam, with the Simha Vahanam and Mythyapu Pandiri Vahanam.
As per the statistics provided by the Vagapadi (TTD revenue office), a sum of Rs. 1,79,26,278 was collected in the Srivari Hundi, besides Rs. 6,74,620 from the rent collections.
The statistics said that 51,924 persons were tonsured and 44,317 persons had enjoyed free meals, besides 13,035 tiffins and 13,321 cups of milk having been provided for devotees in the Vaikuntha queue complex.
Nearly 79,000 small laddus were also distributed inside the temple. The total drinking water consumption was 32.66 lakh gallons.
As nearly 13,321 pilgrims used RTC buses to come to Tirumala, and 46,255 person went back in them after their darshan. Nearly 26,000 came on foot and in other vehicles.
