Boxer Nikhat Zareen today submitted her joining report as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Telangana DGP Dr Jitender.

On the decision of the Cabinet in its meeting held on August 1, 2024, the State government had directed the Home Department to amend Section 4 of the Telangana Regulation of Appointments to the Public Services and Rationalization of Staff Pattern and Pay Structure Act and give the job to Nikhat Zareen under the sports quota.

Zareen is a champion boxer who won the World Boxing Championships twice.
