All DCCs Dissolved

In a bid to strengthen and revamp the organizational set-up, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana has dissolved all district committees of the party.

Botsa, who returned from Delhi after discussions with the state's party affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad, took the decision immediately after his return. There have been many crossovers to other parties, and instances of "groupism" have been rampant in many districts. The new district committees will be formed by 15 April, he said.

This move will act as a fillip to the party which due to contest in local body, general, elections soon.

9 MLAs defied the whip during the no confidence motion, and action will be taken against them. A complaint to this effect was sent to Speaker N Manohar. (INN)
