Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Botsa Satyanarayana convened a meeting of Telangana Congress leaders today to discuss the Telangana issue.
The meeting seems to have gone nowhere, but is the first step the Congress has taken to rein in the increasing turmoil and belligerence within the party over Telangana.
Botsa Satyanaraya, who spoke to the media at length, said that the party is looking for a solution to the Telangana conundrum.
Telangana leaders, however, emerged from the meeting sticking to their stand and categorically stating that there is no question of going back on their resignations.
Suryapet MLA Damodar Reddy said that at the meeting, the Telangana leaders had asked the party bosses what exactly Seemandhra leaders would lose in the case of a separate Telangana.
